Logistic and Transport professionals believe they need a specific Social Media network

TransportPlaza an online community for transportation and logistics, presented the results of a survey conducted together with Vlerick Business School at Paris SITL fair, held last March.
Through the study it was investigated the use of social networking among professionals in the transport and logistics and their specific needs with respect to the professional use of these networks.
Currently, about 85% of those who work in the transport and logistics business use social networks regularly. They prefer to be part of a two or three communities, as they believe that management of these networks requires a long time. On average, they review their accounts three times a week and, in general, often have a specific network for private and professional activities.
Those who use then the most are those between 21-30 years, and the frequency of social networking activity falls with increasing the age of the participants. Linkedin is the largest professional social network chosen, while Facebook is the essential personal community.
